Triangle Trails Summit Is Here!

The countdown is on—this Thursday, more than a hundred trail leaders, planners, and partners will come together at Dix Chapel for the Triangle Trails Summit. It’s a full day designed not just to talk about trails, but to move projects forward across the Triangle’s growing network of greenways. See full agenda here.

One day, built around connection

The Summit runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Dix Chapel in Dorothea Dix Park, with coffee and networking starting at 9:30 a.m. Throughout the day, hear from planners, state leaders, regional partners, and trail advocates who are all wrestling with the same questions you are: How do we connect our systems, how do we fund them, and how do we deliver them faster? Regional connectivity is the theme that runs through everything.

A keynote that zooms out to the statewide picture

A major highlight of the day is the keynote from Brian Strong, Director of North Carolina State Parks. With decades of experience in park planning, funding, and land conservation, he’ll speak to how state‑level strategy, investment, and partnerships are helping communities across North Carolina. It’s a chance to hear directly from someone who helps shape the policies and programs that support trails statewide.

More Great Sessions

  • A Funding & ROI panel with MPOs, consultants, and local partners will dig into funding mechanisms.

  • A case study session will show how three organizations partnered together.

  • Wander App Update: A GIS and digital data update will highlight how mapping tools and tourism data can help you tell your story and prioritize projects. Thank you, Visit Raleigh.

After‑party at The Bike Library

After the Summit wraps at 4:00 p.m., you’re invited to keep connecting at the TTI Summit After Party from 4:30–6:30 p.m. at The Bike Library in Raleigh’s Warehouse District (600 W. Cabarrus St., Suite 113, Raleigh, NC 27603). It’s a relaxed chance to continue conversations from the day.

Final details

The Summit is sold out, and we’re excited for this Thursday, April 30, at Dix Chapel (1030 Richardson Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603). Doors open at 9:30 a.m.—arrive a little early to grab coffee, check in, and start connecting before the first session kicks off.
