Cumberland County

Cumberland County does not currently have an adopted greenways and trails master plan. The notable trails and greenways are found within the City of Fayetteville: the Cape Fear River Trail and the Cape Fear Mountain Bike Park Trail. The Cape Fear River Trail is Cumberland County’s signature greenway. The CFRT is an out and back, 10-foot wide paved path for walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and others utilizing non-motorized transportation. It winds for more than 7 miles through a beautiful blend of trees, plants, and wildlife with spectacular views of the river. Access is located 1 mile north of Clark Park traveling towards Methodist University, not far from the intersection with Eastwood Avenue. Rockefeller Trail and the 0.75-mile Cypress Point Loop Trail.
